Te Pā is a dedicated kaupapa Māori space tangata whenua members of ANZASW to connect, lead, influence, share kaupapa kōrero and resources, and to uplift one another. It provides a safe online space for tangata whenua leadership, strategy, advocacy, consultation, and collective voice. It reflects the constitutional commitment of ANZASW to:
ANZASW acknowledges Te Tiriti o Waitangi as the founding relationship between tangata whenua and tangata tiriti. We affirm the right of Māori to define, shape, and lead social work practice in Aotearoa through Te Ao Māori values, practices, and priorities.

We recognise the inherent mana of Māori data. All kōrero, whakaaro, feedback and contributions shared within this space are treated as taonga, not as content. No attributable contributions will be shared outside this space without consent. Where insights are used to inform ANZASW’s strategy or advocacy, they will be de-identified and shared respectfully.
Te Pā is a kaupapa Māori space created for tangata whenua members of ANZASW. Interactions are guided by tikanga Māori including tika and pono and our Code of Ethics values of aroha, rangatiratanga, whanaungatanga, mātātoa, kotahitanga and wairuatanga (provide link to Code of Ethics).
All who enter agree to uphold these values, and to engage in ways that honour each other’s mana. It is a place of uplift, connection, and strategic influence. Taukumekume can be generative, therefore respectful debate, or disagreement as part of managing the tensions inherent in interactions that seek to enhance kaupapa are welcomed.
The Kaihautū holds kaitiakitanga for this space, alongside tangata whenua members. Any communication from this space into broader ANZASW systems will honour the mauri and mana of the kōrero shared. No attributable contributions will be shared outside this space without consent.
