International Federation of Social Workers Special General Meeting 2026

The International Federation of Social Workers has called a Special General Meeting on 18 February 2026 (19 February NZT) to consider and vote on a motion regarding the membership status of the Israeli Union of Social Workers. Full details are available on the IFSW SGM website

This is a complex and deeply felt kaupapa with a range of views across our profession. We are committed to being transparent about our role and decision-making process. The Aotearoa New Zealand IFSW Coordinating Body (ANZASW and Tangata Whenua Social Workers Association) has approached this kaupapa guided by our shared uara, with careful consideration of the gravity of the decision before us.
