Fakamālō lahi atu, Professor Tracie Mafileʻo: ANZASW celebrates her MNZM

We are incredibly proud of our member Professor Tracie Mafileʻo on her appointment as a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) for services to Pacific and tertiary education.

Prof. Tracie’s decades of mahi as a social worker, researcher, and academic have strengthened Pacific‑led social work, research, and education; showing what’s possible when Pacific knowledge, values, and leadership are at the centre. Her work uplifts our communities, inspires our sector, and sets a benchmark for the next generation of Pacific social workers.

This recognition is a win for all of Pacific social work, and a reminder of the power of our knowledge, voice, and leadership in shaping Aotearoa and the wider Pacific.
