All ANZASW members can access professional indemnity insurance as a benefit of membership. Professional indemnity insurance provides access to a lawyer who will support and advise you should a complaint arise about your practice. This webinar will explain the policy cover, including policy limitations, and outline the steps involved in making a claim.
Natasha Clarke is an Executive Broker (Financial & Professional Risks, ANZIIF Senior Associate) at Crombie Lockwood.
She specialises in the design and delivery of specialist liability insurance programmes and the operational management of client’s liability claims with insurers and legal advisors. Natasha has over 30 years of insurance experience. She joined Crombie Lockwood’s Financial and Professional Risks division in 2019, and brings 21 years of corporate insurance broking experience. During her career, Natasha spent 13 years at NZI Insurance in commercial/ corporate sales and underwriting, and senior broking positions at two international broking houses. Natasha’s experience includes the management and placement of large liability insurance programmes for social organisations and health sector providers. ANZASW has some complexity with the liability risk exposures considering legislation, disciplinary action, and claims performance. Natasha has the experience and expertise to help ANZASW members manage these challenges, while also driving improved outcomes and value adding services to the membership.
Duncan McGill is an experienced commercial litigator, with a focus on resolving disputes efficiently for his clients. He has particular expertise in advising insurers and insureds on indemnity and defence issues with a particular focus on professional liability claims. He has acted for a broad range of registered professionals in guiding them through professional disciplinary matters, including social workers. Duncan has for several years assisted members of the ANZASW at the instruction of the organisation’s indemnity insurer in relation to a broad range of complaints and disciplinary matters. Duncan provides advice in advocacy matters before courts at all levels and a broad range of tribunals. He is also an experienced participant in all forms of alternative dispute resolution and a qualified mediator.
