Professional Clinician

The School of Social Work at Massey University - Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa strives to enhance the wellbeing of people, whānau and communities by contributing to the development of professional social work.

The school is seeking applicants for one fixed-term position for two years.

At the level of Professional Clinician or Senior Professional Clinician Range 1 in Social Work, 1 FTE (37.5 hours) based on either the Auckland or Manawatū campus.

Applicants for Professional Clinician are expected to:

  • Hold a Master of Social Work or Master of Applied Social Work (or equivalent)
  • Be a fully registered social worker with a practising certificate who can teach in the degree programmes and courses offered by the School of Social Work
  • Professional social work experience
  • Experience in field education
  • Experience in tertiary teaching, including online delivery
  • Demonstrate commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Demonstrate excellent teamwork and self-management skills
  • The salary range for this role is NZ $86,113 - $109,901 (1 FTE)

Applicants for Senior Professional Clinician Range 1 are expected to:

  • Possess a doctoral degree (or equivalent)
  • Be a fully registered social worker with a practising certificate who can teach in the degree programmes and courses offered by the School of Social Work
  • Advanced professional social work experience
  • Demonstrate excellence in field education
  • Demonstrate excellence in tertiary teaching, including online delivery
  • Demonstrate commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • Demonstrate excellent teamwork and self-management skills
  • The salary range for this role is NZ $107,916 - $132,892 (1 FTE)
